Our Story

Bancroft Psychology was founded in 2023 in Darlington, Western Australia by Elizabeth Bancroft. Liz’s approach is collaborative and places the primary focus on the therapeutic relationship and building a safe, private, authentic and non-judgemental space for clients. This allows clients to explore difficulties at their pace, gain insight, establish positive coping strategies and eventually process and heal from past traumas. All of this results in enhanced health, wellbeing and recovery.

“Healing from trauma can also mean strength and joy. The goal of healing is not a papering-over of changes in an effort to preserve or present things as normal. It is to acknowledge and wear your new life – warts, wisdom, and all – with courage.”
